I haven’t been active recently, but I’m starting again. And I have several plans.
First of all, I’m going to localize the project. I want to connect with comedians in the local area and connect with them in person, instead of finding comedians online like I have been doing. I think this is the way to further the “movement,” if you will. The goal is to create a network of funny people to make content with, a way to connect to the community.
One reason I decided to take this path is because I’ve recently started going to more open mics in my area. There is talent everywhere you look, people that are genuinely funny. I think if done right, we could be a way for people to connect and grow their personal brands while also contributing to the growth of SHLERK.
Our values for season two remain the same: Make funny stuff. Connect with funny people. And never, ever use AI to create content. Emphasis on that last one. Fuck AI content! It sucks.
So here’s the gist: We are ramping up. I’m back to work, baby.
